Professor Nitya Nanda is an economist and public policy scholar with over three decades of experience in research, teaching, academic leadership, and policy advisory. His work focuses on international trade, industrial policy, investment, development economics, sustainable development, agriculture, environmental governance, and the political economy of economic reforms, with a particular emphasis on India and the Global South.
He is Professor at the Council for Social Development (CSD), New Delhi, and served as its Director during 2020–2025. Earlier, he held senior academic and research positions at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), CUTS International, the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), and other leading institutions.
